Schilke Trumpet Mouthpiece

The standard Schilke Trumpet mouthpiece range has been developed over the decades from the initial 'Artist models' designed by Renold Schilke and Will Scarlet for many famous players. the numbering system can seem complex, but is quite logical in the format of number:letter:number:letter denoting size;depth:rim contour:backbore. Size works numerically small to large, cup depth alphabetically shallow to deep, contour round top flat and the backbore tight to open. If the number is incomplete ie. 14, the full code would be 14c3c. If a mouthpiece finishes with an x it has a special very large backbore suitable for piccolo trumpet use.
